Patna: Bihar State Senior Badminton Championship will be organised at Ara Club, Ara from December 4 to 8 under the auspices of Bihar Badminton Association and hosted by Bhojpur District Badminton Association. Giving this information, Bihar Badminton Association Secretary KN Jaiswal said that the players have been asked to report at the venue on December 4 at 8 am. The qualifying matches of men’s category will be played on December 4.
The main draw matches in the men’s category will start on December 5, while the main draw matches in the women’s category will start on December 6. Men players playing in the main draw will report on December 4, and women players on December 5.
He said that the circular for the tournament has already been sent to all the district units.
He said that the championship will be inaugurated by Ara Municipal Corporation Mayor Mrs. Indu Devi on December 5 at 11 am. On this occasion, HK Chanchal, DGM of Power Grid Ikwana, will be present as a special guest. Jaiswal said that based on their performance in this championship, the senior national team of Bihar will be selected to participate in the senior national tournament to be held from December 18 to 24 in Guwahati.
