Muzaffarnagar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Saturday that under the double-engine government, the mafia, the corrupt, and criminals are suffering the most. He also warned that anyone who plays with the safety of daughters will be cast into the abyss.

Inaugurating and laying foundation stones of projects worth Rs 242 crore in Muzaffarnagar, the Chief Minister said, “Mafia, Bhrashtachari, apradhi aur aur behen betiyon ki ijjat ke saath khilavaad karane vaalon ke liye double engine ki sarkar Maha kaal hai (The double engine government is the destroyer of all mafias, corrupt, criminals and those who outrage the modesty of or sisters and daughters).”

Addressing the public gathering, the Chief Minister said, “The people in Muzaffarnagar who in the past forced people to migrate have now moved themselves.”

The Chief Minister described it as his good fortune that he was able to visit Bhagwat Bhoomi Shukrateerth and see the Akshaya Vat.

“The state government is going to constitute the Shukratirtha Development Council very soon, preparations have been completed for this,” Yogi said.

Earlier, while planting saplings, he appealed to the people of the state to plant one sapling each. The Chief Minister also fed jaggery to the cows at Shukratirtha and performed aarti of Maa Ganga.

Noting that after almost four years he got the opportunity to visit Bhagwat Bhoomi, he said, “The dream of the holy stream of Maa Ganga passing through Shukratirtha is being realized today. Mother Ganga is spreading happiness and prosperity in the lives of crores of living beings in this world, and now her stream will pass through Shukratirtha.”

The Chief Minister stressed that the country is embarking on a new chapter of development and heritage under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership by citing examples of the revival of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Somnath, Kedarnath, Badrinath, and Mahakal, among others. “Not only this, the grand Shri Ram temple is taking shape in Ayodhya,” he added.

Criticising the previous governments, Yogi said that this work could have been done earlier also, but the previous government did not have time to respect the faith of the people. “They neither respected the heritage nor took the development forward.”

The Chief Minister said that the state government is going to constitute the Shukrateerth Development Council soon. “This will give development a new dimension, improve connectivity, generate employment opportunities, and open new development doors. Today, the inclusion of Muzaffarnagar jaggery in ODOP adds sweetness to the entire world.”

The Chief Minister said that earlier, the daughters were not safe in Western UP and even exodus had started. Anarchy was at its peak, farmers were upset, and the youth were unemployed. But today, the one who plays with the safety of daughters will go to the abyss, he added.

“Government ensures the security of traders today. Those who forced others to migrate have done so themselves. The welfare schemes of the government are being made available without discrimination. Today, no one can disturb the kanwariyas. They are being showered with flowers by the government today”, CM Yogi pointed out.

The Chief Minister said that with the inspiration of Lord Shukradev, 30 crore saplings are being planted in the entire state today. Appealing to all, the CM said that instead of cutting down a tree older than 100 years, respect it as a heritage tree. Trees not only give us oxygen but also conserve water.

“Today, global warming is a concern for everyone. It is our duty to plant more trees in this situation and to protect the heritage trees”, the Chief Minister concluded.
