Patna: The annual sports meet of Gyansthali High School, Laxmi Nagar (Barh) was held on Saturday. The students of the school enthusiastically participated in various events.
Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by Meenu Singh, Director of LMC Group of Schools. The students were given medals and certificates by Chief Guest Manoj Kumar Tiwari, special guest Ravi Kumar, police station in-charge of Laxmi Nagar and director Meenu Singh.
School Principal Yatish Chaturvedi welcomed all the parents and participating students. Sports head of the school, Rupak Kumar said that the enthusiasm of the children was visible in this meet. The stage was anchored by famous announcer Ajay Ambastha. Principal of the school proposed a vote of thanks.
Results: Shikha Kumari, Siddhi Kumari and Karishma of class IV stood first second and third respectively in spoon race.
Deepak, Abhinav and Adarsh of class I in stood first, second and third respectively in 50m race, Amar, Vishal and Raunak of class II were first second and third in 100 m race.
Praveen and Prince stood first, second and third respectively in 100 m race. Aakriti Anand was winner and Alka Anand was runner up in carom. Class VII team won in Kabaddi gold. The combination of Manisha and Kainaat Parveer of class VII was the winner in Badminton, while the pair of Rajveer Badal and Ansh Raj was runner-up. In chess Sonu Kumar and Prem Raj of class VII were the winner and runner-up respectively.
