Patna: Annual sports meet of Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel High School concluded on Monday at Patliputra Sports Complex. Cultural programmes were also organised before the prize distribution function.
Earlier, football and athletics events were held. In football, Class 9 won the senior title by defeating Class 7 by 3-2, while in the junior section, Class 4 won the title by defeating Class 5 1-0. In athletics, class 8 emerged overall champions in the senior category while class 5 emerged overall champions in the junior category.
Chief guest Bihar Legislative Council Member Mangal Pandey, Special Guest Digha MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia, Deputy Director Art Culture Youth Department Sanjay Kumar, Patna District Sports Officer Omprakash , Director of LMC Group Meenu Singh and Principal Shalni Singh gave away the prizes. All the guests were welcomed by Sports Head Rupak Kumar, while the stage was conducted by Ajay Ambasath. Rashmi Kumari proposed a vote of thanks. Boys Wing Administrator Sandeep Kumar Singh, Girls Wing Administrator Supreeti Sinha, Shubhadra Kumari, Shushma Kumari and sports teacher Anju Kumari were present on the occasion.
