Patna: A polish 92 runs by Pratap helped Bihar score 182 runs in their first innings against Andhra Pradesh on the first day of the Ranji Trophy match at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Friday. Andhra won the toss and bowled out Bihar on the score of 182. Pratap, the only batsman from Bihar, played brilliantly against the Andhra bowlers. For Andhra Pradesh Girinath took five wickets.
Batting for Bihar, Baljit Singh Bihari got out after scoring 2 runs, Shraman Nigrodh got out after scoring 16 runs, Piyush, Ghani and Babul got out without opening their accounts, Bipin Saurabh got out after scoring 19 runs, Veer Pratap got out after scoring 11 runs, Ashutosh Aman got out after scoring one run and Nawaz got out after scoring 4 runs, while Himanshu remained unbeaten on 32 runs. Pratap played a patient inning of 92 runs off 198 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes, but missed the century.
For Andhra, Girinath Reddy took five wickets, Nitish Reddy took two wickets and KV Sashikant took one wicket, while two players were run out.
