Patna: In the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League match played on Friday, Amar CC’s Apoorva Anand took five wickets as Amar CC defeated Hercules CC by 8 wickets. This is Amar CC’s first win while Hercules CC’s second consecutive defeat.
In the Group B match played at Sampatchak Ground, Hercules CC won the toss and decided to bat first. Apart from captain Ayaan, no batsman could do much, and they were all out for 49 runs in 14.4 overs. Ayaan played scored 22 runs. Abhinav Sinha scored 11 runs. Five batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account.
For Amar CC, Apoorva Anand took five wickets for 10 runs in 3.4 overs. Amar CC captain Prateek Kumar took 2 wickets for 9 runs and Anshuman Gautam took 2 wickets for 5 runs.
In reply, Amar CC won the match by scoring 54 runs for 2 wickets in 7.1 overs. Kumar Rajneesh scored 26 runs, Sanskar Prabhakar scored 14 unbeaten runs.
For Hercules CC, Ankit ji took 1 wicket for 28 runs and Abhinav Sinha took 1 wicket for 12 runs. Apoorva Anand of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
