Katihar: Alliance Cricket Club defeated Star Rising Cricket Club by five wickets in the Katihar District A Division Cricket League at Rajendra Stadium in the city on Saturday.
Star Rising captain Sonu Kumar won the toss, batted first, and scored 146 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 35.2 overs. Sonu Kumar scored 40 runs and Ashim Akhtar scored 24. In bowling, Sahil Ansari, Ayush Kumar, Jishu Kumar took two wickets each for Alliance Club.
Chasing the target of 147 runs, Alliance Club achieved the target in 26.1 overs losing 5 wickets. Ishrafil alias Lalla scored 42 runs and Shivam Singh scored 33 runs. Sonu Kumar took 2 wickets for Star Rising.
Deepak Jaiswal and Ajit Singh were the umpires. Raja Kumar was the scorer.
On February 18, Durgasthan Cricket Club will take on Rising Star Cricket Club at Rajendra Stadium from 9 am.
