Junior National Ball Badminton Championship begins

Patna: All facilities, including grants, will be provided to popularize ball badminton in the state, said Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary while addressing the players and sports lovers on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the 68th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship at Patliputra Sports Complex here on Sunday.
Choudhary said that every possible help will be provided to ball badminton game and players. The state government is running many programs keeping in mind the interests of the players, he said.
Presiding over the function, Ball Badminton Federation of India President-cum-Bihar Legislative Council Member Prof. Nawal Kishore Yadav said that the Bihar Ball Badminton Association is operated as per its calendar. There will be no inconvenience of any kind to the players and officials participating in the national competition. The officials of the State Ball Badminton Association are working hard day and night to make this competition a success.
Ball Badminton Federation of India General Secretary Y Raja Rao presented a detailed report regarding the ball badminton game and its achievements. Special guests were Bihar Players Association President Mrityunjay Tiwari, BBFI Patron P. Ramakrishna Rao, Tomba Singh, former Municipal Council Sonpur, President Vinod Samrat, Grappling Wrestling Committee Bihar President Kishlay Kishore, Vijay Yadav, and Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh.
The guests were welcomed by Bihar Ball Badminton Association Director Pawan Kumar Kejriwal and State Secretary Gouri Shankar proposed a vote of thanks. In the exhibition match for the boys category, Karnataka defeated Bihar 35-31.
