Patna: Akhilesh Memorial Under-12 Inter School Cricket Tournament will be organized under the aegis of Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) from October 1 at CAB Ground located at Moinul Haq Stadium. This information was given by CAB Director Amikar Dayal.
He said that 12 teams will be given entry in this tournament. The teams will be divided into four groups. The matches will be played on league cum knock out basis. Each team will get two matches each in the league. The top team of each pool will reach the semi-finals.
He said that for the successful conduct of the tournament, coach Mukesh Kumar has been made the organizing secretary. Apart from glittering trophies, individual prizes will be given to the winning and runner-up teams. Man of the Match award will be given every day. Many awards will also be given including Player of the Tournament, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder. Budding players will also be awarded. To play in the match, the player will have to bring birth certificate and Aadhaar card with him during each match for age verification.
