Patna: Bihar thrashed Arunachal Pradesh by an innings and 221 runs on the third day of the Ranji Trophy Plate Group match at Urja Satdium here on Thursday.
Bihar pace bowling attack spearheaded by speedster Malay Raj scripted Arunachal Pradesh collapse in the second innings. Malay Raj returned with his best figures in Ranji Trophy with five wickets for 35 runs off 8.4 overs. Bihar’s other two medium pacers Veer Pratap Singh and Harsh Vikram Singh took two wickets each.
Resuming at overnight 367 for the loss of four wickets, Bihar first innings ended at 517. The highlight of the Bihar’s innings today was a magnificent century by Sachin Kumar Singh. Sachin slammed 156 runs off 198 balls with 17 fours and three sixes.
