Patna: Kerala drubbed Bihar by nine wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Alur Cricket Ground in Bengaluru on Monday.
Batting first, Bihar scored 201 runs losing all the wickets off 49.3 overs. In reply, Kerala hammered 205 runs for the loss of one wicket in 24. 4 overs. Rohan S Kunumal of Kerala struck a brilliant hundred (107) to guide his team to emphatic nine-wicket victory.
Bihar won the toss and decided to bat first. Â With the help of Sakibul Gani’s 68 runs, Bihar scored 201 runs losing all wickets in 49.3 overs. For Bihar, Gaurav Joshi scored 30 runs and Shishir Saket scored 34 runs. For Kerala, Sijoman Joseph took four wickets for 49 runs and Akhil Sakaria took three wickets for 37 runs.
In reply, Kerala batsmen made merry of Bihar bowling attack. Rohan S Kunnumal scored 107 runs in 75 balls with the help of 12 fours and 4 sixes and Rahul P scored 83 runs in 63 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. Sachin Kumar Singh took the lone wicket for Bihar.
