Patna: Abdul Rehman defeated Radhesh Sharma 11-6, 11-8, 11-4, Abhiraj Singh defeated Saurabh Kumar Agarwal 11-7, 11 -4, 11-4, Mayank Kumar defeated Priyansh Kedia 11-6, 11-7, 11-4 to enter the semi-finals of the men’s section of the 3rd Bihar State Closed Squash Championship at Bankipore Club Courts here on Sunday.
In the women’s quarterfinal match, last year’s winner Sunny Mehta defeated Anjali Kumari 11- 1,11-1,11-4, Pooja Dubey beat Neha Kumari 11-2,11-3,11-4, last year’s runner-up Soni Kumari beat Ayesha Ahmed 11-5, 11-2, 11-4 to enter the semi-finals.
In the Under-13 girls’ category, Sneha easily defeated Anushka 11-9, 11-9, 11-9, Niyati beat Ashi 12-10 defeating 13-11, 10-12,6-11,6-11 to secure a place in the semi-finals. In the boys’ U-15 category, Shivam Kumar defeated Rohan Kumar 12 -10, 13- 11,10 -12, 6-11, 4-11 and Shaurya Raj defeated Akash Chandra 11-7, 11-3, 11-2 and 41 11 to enter the final.
