Sardar Patel and Bihar Cambridge Cricket Academies Claim Victories in Abhishek Memorial U-16 Inter-School Cricket Tournament

Patna: In the Abhishek Memorial Under-16 Inter-School Cricket Tournament, organised by the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, Sardar Patel Cricket Academy and Bihar Cambridge Cricket Academy recorded wins in their respective matches on Monday. Sardar Patel Cricket Academy defeated Karuna Cricket Academy by 41 runs, while Bihar Cambridge Cricket Academy secured a dominant 144-run victory over La Martiniere World School.

Match 1: Sardar Patel Cricket Academy vs Karuna Cricket Academy

Karuna Cricket Academy won the toss and opted to bowl first. Sardar Patel Cricket Academy posted a total of 171 for 6 in their 20 overs, thanks to strong performances from Kumar Shan, who scored 60 runs, and Krish, who added 40 runs. Neeraj Kumar also contributed 15 runs, while Akash Kumar remained not out with 15. In the bowling department, Alok Kumar Yadav of Karuna Cricket Academy took 2 wickets for 27 runs.

In response, Karuna Cricket Academy was bowled out for 130 runs in 15.2 overs. Ayush Sharma top-scored with 31 runs, while Rohit Yadav added 26 runs. Sardar Patel’s Tudu Kumar shone with the ball, taking 3 wickets for just 8 runs, and Akash Kumar supported well with 2 wickets for 30 runs. The Rize Coaching Player of the Match award was presented to Kumar Shan by Ram Babu, Vice Principal of La Martiniere World School.

Match 2: Bihar Cambridge Cricket Academy vs La Martiniere World School

Bihar Cambridge Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring a massive 231 for 3 in their allotted 18 overs. Yash Raj was the star of the innings, scoring 92 runs, while Utsav Kumar and Shashwat Vats added 58 and 44 runs respectively. Vikramaditya also contributed with an unbeaten 23. For La Martiniere, Monu Rai claimed 2 wickets for 24 runs.

In their chase, La Martiniere World School managed only 87 runs for 9 wickets in 18 overs, with Quaish scoring 18 runs and Uttam Bhardwaj adding 21. The bowlers of Bihar Cambridge Cricket Academy dominated, with Ujjwal Raj taking 3 wickets for 13 runs and Mohammed Salik also picking up 3 wickets for 14 runs. Adarsh Raj took 2 wickets for 23 runs. The Player of the Match award went to Yash Raj, presented jointly by Satish Kumar Singh and Sanjay Kumar. The match was played with 18 overs per side due to the delayed arrival of both teams.
