Patna: In the Women’s Senior T-20 Trophy match at the Sports Hub International Cricket Stadium in Trivandrum, Bihar claimed a thrilling five-run victory over Rajasthan, securing their second consecutive win in the tournament. Bihar is set to face Assam in their next match on 22nd October.
Rajasthan won the toss and elected to field, restricting Bihar to 96 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Preeti led Bihar’s batting with a solid 34 runs, while Arya added 21 and Nikki chipped in with 11. SS Kalal took two wickets for Rajasthan, and SL Meena picked up one.
In response, Rajasthan managed 91 runs before being bowled out in 20 overs. SL Meena top-scored with 32 runs, while BN Meena contributed 28, but the rest of the team struggled to make an impact. Bihar’s Apoorva took three crucial wickets, with Arya and Apoorva sharing two each, while Rachna Singh took one.
Bihar’s disciplined bowling effort ensured a narrow yet crucial win, taking them one step closer in the tournament.
