Payradanga, Nadia, West Bengal: The book-“National Education Policy 2020:A Comprehensive Analysis and Guide” written by Prof. Dr.R.K.Nayak and Dr.Haripriya Panda is being released today(22-09-2024) at Sri Aurobindo Society, Payradanga, Nadia by the eminent persons such as Dr.Buddhabeb Mandal(Prof. RBC College,Naihati), Dr.Rajashri Ghosh(Prof. Burdwan University), Dr.P.K.Biswas (Prof,Kanchrapara College),Dr.Debesh Bhowmik (Prof.Lincoln University College,Malaysia), Dr.Hrishikesh Bal(Prof.,Banipur BEd College) and Dr.Swapan Modak (Officer,Govt of WB Agriculture),Prem Singh Bisht(Publisher),& Kalyan Bhattachajee(Sri Aurobindo Society,Payradanga) respectively.
Prof.R.K.Nayak is a Professor and Dean ,School of Education,Netaji Subhash University, Jamshedpur.Dr.Haripriya Panda is a Principal Netaji Subhash Ashram Mahavidyalaya, Purulia,West Bengal.
The book explores the policy vision,objectives and implementation strategies of NEP 2020 which tried to transform India into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society.The goals of NEP 2020 aims to achieve [i] universal access and participation [ii] equity and inclusion,[iii]curriculum and pedagogy,[iv] teacher training and professional development,[v] technology in education.The strategies of implementation are[i]institutional restructuring [ii]regulatory reforms,[iii]funding and resource allocation,[iv] monitoring and evaluation respectively.
In part -1,school education system was discussed, in Part-11,higher education system was discussed,in Part-III,other key areas such as professional education, adult education, promotion of art,culture and languages,technology use and digital learning, in Part-IV,strengthening advisory board of education,financing,and implementation strategies were discussed.All policies are linked to SDGs of UNDP.
The book will help to the teachers as well as students.
