Patna: St Karen’s High School Patna hosted a Career Fair – IGNITE-24 on 30th November 2024. More than 65 universities and colleges of repute from all over India participated in it. Amity University, Ashoka University, Chanakya University Bengaluru, Christ (Deemed to be University) Delhi NCR, ICFAI University, Lovely Professional University, SRM University Delhi NCR Sonepat, Azim Premji University, Sikkim Manipal University of Technology, Bangalore School of Design were a few of the long list which actively participated by setting up informative kiosks to provide valuable career guidance.
The Chief Guest for the occasion, Col. Rahul Sharma, Director, NIFT – Patna inaugurated the
event and addressed the audience reiterating the opportunities such events provide to the
students. Mr. D. P. Galstaun, Director, St. Karen’s Group of Schools, encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunity to see themselves in one of the prestigious organisations in forthcoming years.
One of the major attractions of the event was slogan writing, caption writing and caricature
competitions which stressed on the creative side of the students.
Sharing her experience, Ujjaini of Class 12 Humanities considered it a great experience to be a part of the fair that provided her with deep insights into various educational institutions and
different courses and also how education can be smoothly conducted with education loans at a low interest. Bhaskar Raj of Class 12 shared that it was a thrilling experience to see all the
different universities and institutions and learn about non conventional courses they offer.
Saket Gaurav of Class 12 Commerce stream felt that attending the career fair at his school was a valuable experience, it provided them insights into various career paths. He also had the opportunity to interact with professionals, explore internship and job opportunities, and gain advice on career development, which is going to help me guide my future decisions.
A student of Class 12 of PCB stream, Mansi Shukla sharing her experience of the Career Fair said that it vested in her the desire to have a bright future.
Another student of PCB stream of Class 12, Adarsh Verma, said attending the career fair opened his eyes to new possibilities and helped him connect with mentors who inspired his future career journey.
