Stage Set For Khelo India Women’s Kho-Kho League

Patna: The stage is set for the Khelo India East Zone and North East Zone Women Kho-Kho League, which will be held at Sky Vision Public School, Naya Bazaar Lakhisarai, from March 19 to March 21. This prestigious event, organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Sports, the Government of India, and the Sports Authority of India, is an important milestone in promoting women’s sports and nurturing talent across the region.

Neeraj Kumar Pappu, General Secretary, Kho-Kho Association of Bihar, said the tournament will popularise the game of kho-kho in Bihar. He praised Sky Vision Public School for the excellent facilities that are required to host such high-profile events.

The tournament will see teams from four states, namely Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Assam, competing for the coveted title. The sports field at Sky Vision Public School is fully equipped and ready to host this exciting competition, providing an ideal platform for the athletes to showcase their skills and dedication.

School Secretary  Sabita Sharma expressed gratitude for being chosen as the venue for such a prestigious event. She emphasised the honour bestowed upon Lakhisarai and reiterated the school’s commitment to promote sports in the region and nurture talent.

School Director Bablu Sharma said that Sky Vision Public School and the citizens of Lakhisarai are very proud to host this prestigious tournament and see it as an important opportunity that reflects the growing stature of the city in the field of sports. Further in his statement, he said that this honour given to Lakhisarai and its residents is unprecedented and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar for the opportunity to host such a historic event.
