New Delhi: The Cycling Federation of India (CFI) is proud to announce the forthcoming Asian Track Cycling Championships 2024, set to take place from February 21st to 26th at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, New Delhi. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has sanctioned this prestigious event, which represents the pinnacle of cycling competition in Asia and promises to be an exhilarating display of talent and sportsmanship.

Drawing participation from over 18 countries across the continent, including regional powerhouses like China, Japan, and Korea, the Asian Track Cycling Championships 2024 is poised to be the largest sporting spectacle ever witnessed on Indian soil. Notably, this event serves as the final Olympic qualifier for Asia, adding an extra layer of significance and intensity to the competitions.

CFI is no stranger to hosting marquee events, having successfully organized the Asian Championships in 2004, 2013, 2017, and most recently in 2022. The upcoming edition builds upon this legacy of excellence, promising an unparalleled experience for athletes, spectators, and cycling enthusiasts alike.

With a diverse roster of participating nations, including Indonesia, Iran, and Kazakhstan among others, the championships will feature more than 500 cyclists competing across various categories, including Men Elite, Women Elite, Men Junior, and Women Junior. Each athlete will vie for top honors, representing their country with pride and determination.

India, as the host nation, will field a formidable contingent of 42 athletes across all categories. Under the guidance of esteemed foreign coach Mr. Kevin Sireau, Chief Coach of Cycling Federation of India, the Indian team is poised to deliver stellar performances and showcase the nation’s growing prowess in the sport.
