Patna, July 28: Special secretary of home department and senior IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav will be the chief patron of the Grappling Committee of Bihar, while Ranjit Kumar Singh, a senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service and director, panchayati raj department, will be the patron.
Giving approval on the request of Grapping Committee of Bihar president Kislay Kishore, chief patron Vikas Vaibhav and patron Ranjit Kumar Singh assured his full cooperation to popularise and develop the grappling wrestling game in the state.
Giving this information, Gauri Shankar, general secretary, Grappling Committee of Bihar said that the first Bihar State Sub Junior Grappling Championship (Boys/Girls) will now be organised at Hajipur (Vaishali) from August 6 to August 7. The boys and girls players of under-11, under-13 and under-15 age groups will participate. The championship will be inaugurated by the newly nominated chief patron of the Grappling Committee of Bihar, Senior Police Officer Vikas Vaibhav and patron senior Indian Administrative Service Officer Ranjit Kumar Singh on August 6. On the occasion, vice president of Grappling Committee of Bihar Priyesh Priyam, joint secretary Ravi Ranjan Kumar and Vaishali District vice president Yogesh Mishra were present.
