Patna: Bihar Cricket Association president Rakesh Kumar Tiwari congratulated Bihar’s budding cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his two half-centuries in two consecutive innings for the India U-19 “B” team in the quadrangular series.
While congratulating Vaibhav, the BCA president, he said that Vaibhav is now spreading the light of his talent on the national and international horizons, and the time is not far when other players from Bihar will also be successful in attracting the attention of the national selectors with their performances.
Vaibhav performed brilliantly while playing for Bihar in BCCI’s U-19 Vinoo Mankad One Day Tournament, due to which Vaibhav was selected for the Challenger Trophy. Vaibhav also shone in the Challenger Trophy, and he was selected for the India-B team for the U-19 quadrangular series. Apart from India-A and India-B, the U-19 teams of England and Bangladesh are participating in this series.
In the quadrangular series, on November 13, while playing against England, Vaibhav scored 53 runs in 43 balls with the help of three sixes and six fours. In this match, the India-B team won. While playing against Bangladesh on Wednesday, November 15, he scored 75 runs in 78 balls with the help of four sixes and six fours.
Tiwari said that Vaibhav’s consistently brilliant performance has made Bihar proud. He wished Vaibhav a bright future.
