Yoga training camp for physical teachers concludes at IIT Patna

Patna: The ten-day residential yoga training camp for physical teachers from primary and secondary schools in Bihar, organised by Bihar Shiksha Pariyojana Parishad (Bihar Education Project Council) and Bihar Yoga School, Munger, concluded at IIT Bihta (Patna) premises on Monday.

About 103 physical education teachers from across the state received training. This ten-day training camp concluded with Bhakti Yoga. While the physical education teachers were taught hundreds of asanas, including Nari Shodhan, Pranayama, Bhramari Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Tadasana, Triyak Tadasana, Kati Chakrasan, Dwikon Aasan, Halasan, Shalabhasan, Mayurasan, Naukasan, and relaxation exercises.

The most important thing was that the teachers also did Karma Yoga. In explaining the practical aspects of yoga in the camp, teachers were called upon to adopt it as their lifestyle. Yoga is necessary for peace and spontaneity. Physical teachers have also been provided with a syllabus to impart yoga to the students of their schools. Due to this, physical teachers will now teach physical exercises, sports, and yoga in their schools.
         
On the occasion of the conclusion of the training camp, the Chief Guest, Assistant Programme Officer of Bihar Education Project Council, Nutan Singh, Special Guest, Sports Officer of IIT Patna, Dr. Karunesh Kumar, State Level Yoga Instructor of Bihar Yoga School Munger, Praveen Kumar Ajay, Avinash Kumar, Udit Kumar, Sunil Prasad, and Rita Kumari were present. Gauri Shankar, the coordinator of the camp and physical education teacher of Mahant Hanuman Sharan Higher Secondary School, Mainpura, Patna, felicitated all the guests and trainers with angavastram. On the occasion of the closing ceremony, a drama and cultural programme related to Bhakti Yoga was presented by the physical teachers. Physical teacher Ashish Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.
