Patna: The 2nd Nanhak Mahato Memorial Under-17 Cricket Tournament got off to a grand start on Tuesday (April 19) at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium. In the inaugural match, State Coaching Centre defeated SKP Cricket Academy by 8 wickets.
The tournament was inaugurated by Neeraj Kumar, Managing Director of Jai Ambe Enterprises, Pratima Devi, Shatrughan Pandit, Nihal Kumar, Managing Director of Kushwaha Jewellers. Naveen Kumar, director of Learning School of Cricket, welcomed the guests while Santosh Tiwari proposed a vote of thanks. Senior cricket coach MP Verma was present on the occasion.
The umpires of the match were Jasim Ahmed, Yatendra Kumar, Baijnath Prasad while the scorer was Raja Kumar.
SKP Cricket Academy won the toss and decided to bat first. SKP scored 145 runs for 8 wickets in 25 overs. In reply, the State Coaching Centre team won the match by scoring 147 runs for two wickets in 15.5 overs. Manjeet of the winning team was given the player of the match award.
