4th National Junior Boys Boxing Championship being inaugurated in Patna on December 17, 2022.

Patna: “Sports is an important part of our life, it is the source of both our physical as well as mental development. For a successful person, he should be healthy both mentally and physically, mental development starts from our school days, but exercise is necessary for physical development, which we get through sports,” said Bihar Building Construction Minister Ashok Kumar Choudhary at the inauguration of the 4th National Junior Boys Boxing Championship at Patliputra Sports Complex here on Saturday.

He said that in the present time, sports have no less importance than studies. Now people are getting a lot of fame and name in the field of sports. Encouraging the participants who came here, he said that you should play with sportsmanship and move forward.

Welcoming the players from other states, Anjani Kumar Singh, former Chief Secretary of Bihar and Chief Advisor to Chief Minister said the participants from other states will act as brand ambassadors for Bihar. He asked the players to visit the tourist places of Bihar and go to your state and tell about Bihar.

While presiding over the function, chairman of the organising committee and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad said that the players of Bihar are moving forward. Taking the names of Shreyasi Singh and Ishaan Kishan, he said that all of them are bringing laurels to Bihar on the international stage. Welcoming the participants, he assured on behalf of the organising committee that all of you will not feel any kind of problem.

Earlier, all the guests inaugurated the 4th National Junior Boys Boxing Championship by lighting the lamp. The guests were welcomed by the Chairman of the Organising Committee and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad. Others were welcomed by Rajeev Kumar Singh, Secretary, Boxing Association of Bihar and Kumar Vijay, Secretary, Bihar Kabaddi Association. On this occasion, the girls of Rainbow Foundation and Krishna Niketan (Chaudhary Tola) enthralled the spectators by presenting Ganesh Vandana and welcome song.

Sanjeev Chaurasia, MLA, Digha Assembly, Shrikant M Bhandiwad (General Manager, Circle Head, Canara Bank, Patna), Bihar Olympic Association Secretary Md Mushtaq Ahmed, Boxing  Federation of India observer Anil Bohidar, technical delegate Narendra Nirvan, deputy technical delegate R Rajendran, Arjuna Awardee Jas Lal Pradhan, Senior Advocate Ajay Kumar and many other dignitaries were present.
