Patna: Junior National Softball Championship is being organized for the first time in Bihar. The 41st Junior National Boys and Girls Softball Championship will be organized under the aegis of Softball Association of Bihar and Rotary Club of Patna Millennium in Patna from February 21 to February 25. The championship will be organized at different grounds in Patna.
In this regard, a meeting of the Softball Association of Bihar was held today with its president, Gautam Kanodia was on the chair. Softball Association of Bihar vice president and organizing chairman Rupesh Aggarwal, Rotary Club of Patna Millennium president Chintan Jain, chief patron Ajay Narayan Sharma, chairman Meenu Singh, vice president Sanjay Kumar, treasurer Pawan Kumar Pappu, joint secretary Rupak Kumar and many others attended the meeting.
Kanodia said that such an event is being organized for the first time in Bihar in 34 years. 30 teams from different states will come to Bihar for this championship. Around 1000 players will showcase their skills in the championship. All the state teams will reach Patna by February 20. Boys and girls under 18 years of age will be seen playing in this championship.
Rupesh Agrawal, vice president and organizing chairman of Softball Association of Bihar, said that an organizing committee will be formed soon. He said that all the preparations for this championship will be completed by February 18.
