Patna: The 37th All India Sukhdeo Narain School Cricket Tournament will be dedicated to youth empowerment. The tournament is being organised under the auspices of the Indu Narayan Foundation and the BPS Foundation for Youth Welfare, with the slogans “improve self-confidence in children and “inspire India’s pride”. The tournament will start on Monday (March 27) with the first match between Delhi Model Public School and JK International School at Urja Stadium in Patna.
Giving this information, the organising secretary of the tournament committee, Vijay Kumar Narain Chunnu, said that all the preparations for the inauguration ceremony have been completed.
Dignitaries from every section of society will be present at the opening function. On the occasion of the inauguration ceremony, under the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Mission, in addition to the programme of distribution of saplings to the dignitaries and players, the players will be administered the oath of true sporting spirit, after which the match will be formally inaugurated by the dignitaries. The second match will be played between Gyan Ganga Public and Exceed India High School, he said.
