Young Cricketer Tejaswi Sinha Honoured by Patna Deputy Mayor for Outstanding Talent

Patna: Tejaswi Sinha from Patna, who was recently selected under the bowler scouting campaign organised by the Bihar Cricket Association, was felicitated on Friday by Patna’s Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi. She was presented with a memento and a shawl in recognition of her achievement.

The honour was conferred during a simple ceremony held at the YCC Ground as part of the Casa Picolla Cup Under-12 Cricket Tournament. While felicitating Tejaswi, Rashmi Chandravanshi wished her a bright future. Social worker Ranjit Kumar Singh and Sardar Patel Sports Foundation founder Santosh Tiwari were also present on the occasion.

It is noteworthy that the bowler scouting campaign recently conducted by the Bihar Cricket Association saw participation from 4,000 players. Out of these, 26 players (21 male and 5 female) were specially selected. The final selection was carried out by former international cricketers Salil Ankola and Karsan Ghavri. During the closing ceremony, both praised Tejaswi Sinha highly, noting her immense talent and expressing hope that she could soon become a member of the Indian national team.

Tejaswi Sinha has previously represented Bihar at both the Under-19 and senior levels and has delivered commendable performances. She currently trains at the YCC Cricket Academy.

Following the recognition, Tejaswi Sinha stated that the honour has increased her sense of responsibility. She said that in the upcoming season, she must perform even better to meet the expectations of the people of the state.
