Yoga training camp for physical teachers begins at IIT Patna

Patna: Bihar Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad (Bihar Education Project Council), Patna and Bihar Yoga School, Munger organised the second session of the ten-day residential yoga training camp for physical teachers of primary and secondary schools of the Bihar from Saturday at IIT Patna in Bihta.

About 110 physical education teachers from across the state are receiving training. The training camp was formally inaugurated by Nutan Singh, Assistant Program Officer of Bihar Education Project Council. The first day of the ten-day training camp was started with Shanti Path. Physical education teachers were made to practice Nadi Shodhan Pranayama, Bhramari Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Tadasana, Triyak Tadasana, Kati Chakrasana and relaxation on Saturday.

Simultaneously Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga were also practised. State level yoga instructors of Bihar Yoga School, Munger, Avinash Kumar, Udit Kumar, Sunil Prasad, Rita Kumari are imparting training in the camp. Physical education teacher Gauri Shankar (Patna) and Ashish Kumar (Darbhanga) are playing the role of coordinators of the camp.

In this training camp, physical education teachers are being motivated to adopt yoga as their lifestyle by explaining the practical aspects of yoga.
