YCC beat Learning School of Cricket to enter final of Randhir Verma U-15 Cricket

Patna: YCC Patna beat Learning School of Cricket by 3 runs in a thrilling semi-final match of the Randhir Verma Under-15 Cricket Championship at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Monday.

YCC Patna won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, YCC Patna scored 151 runs for 10 wickets in 24.1 overs. Piyush scored 21 runs with the help of four fours, Akash scored 21 runs with the help of three fours and a six; and Sushant scored 17 runs with the help of two sixes. Rajneesh scored 15 runs with the help of two fours. For Learning School of Cricket, Sourav took 2 wickets for 25 runs, Divyansh took 2 wickets for 26 runs, Aditya and Priyanshu got one wicket each, and 3 players were adjudged run out. Extras contributed 43 runs.

In reply, the Learning School of Cricket could only manage to score 148 runs in 24.4 overs losing 10 wickets. Priyanshu scored 40 runs with the help of 2 fours and two sixes while Aditya scored 24 runs with the help of 4 fours. Saurabh scored 11 runs. Rajneesh took 3 wickets by giving away 17 runs, Sushant took 2 wickets by giving away 23 runs and Priyanshu took 2 wickets by giving away 38 runs. Extras contributed 33 runs. Young philanthropist Samridh Verma gave away the man of the match award to YCC Patna player Rajneesh.

Randhir Verma Foundation secretary Satish Raju said that the final match of the tournament will be played on January 22. Several dignitaries, including former Rajya Sabha MP RK Sinha will be present at the prize distribution ceremony.
