Patna: YCC and Shriram Khel Maidan emerged victorious in their respective matches on Friday, 13th December, during the Baidyanath Prasad Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament, organised by the Baidyanath Prasad Foundation. YCC defeated VKS Sports Academy by a commanding 153 runs, while Shriram Khel Maidan triumphed over Narayan Cricket Academy by 3 wickets.
In the first match, held at the Cricket Academy of Bihar ground, VKS Sports Academy won the toss and opted to field. YCC put up a formidable total of 226 runs for 6 wickets in 24 overs, powered by a century from Tejaswi Chauhan (110 runs) and a half-century by Nitin Kumar (61 runs).
In response, VKS Sports Academy were bowled out for just 73 runs in 12.4 overs, with Keshav Raghuvanshi delivering an exceptional performance, taking 4 wickets for 18 runs. Tejaswi Chauhan was named Player of the Match and received the award from YCC Sports Academy head coach Santosh Kumar.
In the second match, Shriram Khel Maidan won the toss and elected to field first. Narayan Cricket Academy managed to score 140 runs in 18 overs, with a notable 66-run innings by Pratyush Raj. Ayush Kumar’s outstanding bowling, taking 5 wickets for 29 runs, restricted the opposition.
Chasing the target, Shriram Khel Maidan reached 141 runs for 7 wickets in 16.5 overs, securing a thrilling win. Ayush Kumar of Shriram Khel Maidan was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
