Patna: Thanks to the all-round performance of Yashasvi Shukla (101 runs, 2 wickets), BPHCL defeated City Student Club by 63 runs in Patna District Senior Division Cricket League. Rahul Kumar (71 runs) scored a half-century from BPHCL. Baljeet Bihari (78 runs) and Mohit Roshan (59 runs) of City Student Club scored half-centuries and Prajjwal (5 wickets)’s hard work went in vain.
At 22 Yard Cricket Academy Ground, BPHCL won the toss and batting first scored 301 runs after losing all wickets in 39.3 overs. Siddhant Vijay scored 47, Abhilash Kumar scored 15, Yashasvi Shukla scored 101, Rahul Kumar scored 71, Pradeep scored 13, Ankesh scored 20 runs. 15 runs were scored with the help of extras. Prajjwal took 5 wickets, Alok Yadav and Ayush Raj took two wickets each for City Student Club.
In reply, the City Student Club scored 238 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. Sudhanshu Prabhakar scored 24, Kartik Yadav scored 36, Baljeet Singh Bihari scored 78, Mohit Roshan scored 59, Rohit Raj scored 17 runs. Pradeep, Tushar Kant, Rahul Kumar and Yashasvi Shukla took two wickets each for BPHCL. Ritesh Srivastava took 1 wicket. Yashasvi Shukla of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
