Patna: Kerala defeated Bihar by 7 wickets in the Women’s U-23 One Day Trophy played at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium, Lucknow.
Bihar won the toss and elected to bat and were all out after scoring 135 runs in 49.5 overs. Pragati Singh scored 52 runs off 99 balls with the help of five fours and one six, Preeti scored 14 runs, Khushboo Kumari scored 8 runs, Tejashwi scored 15 runs, Rachna Singh scored 11 runs and Komal Kumari was out without opening her account.
For Kerala, Najla and Ajanya took two wickets each while Alina Sundaran, CK Nandana, Alina MP, Nitya Ludh took one wicket each.
In reply, Kerala team scored 136 runs losing 3 wickets in 32.5 overs and won the match by 7 wickets. Batting for the Kerala team, Urvashi played an unbeaten inning of 55 runs in 86 balls with the help of seven fours, and Manasvi was out after scoring 29 runs and Vaishnav MP scored 27 runs.
For Bihar, Pragati Singh took 2 wickets for 33 runs in 6.2 overs and Tejashwi took 1 wicket.
