Vijay Merchant Trophy: Bihar take first innings lead against Baroda

Patna: On the second day of the Vijay Merchant U-16 boys Tournament match at Veerangan Cricket Academy in Pune, due to Abhishek’s lethal bowling (52 runs and 7 wickets in 21.3 overs), Bihar restricted Baroda at 182 runs in the first innings and took 30 runs. Bihar scored 212 runs in the first innings.

By the end of the second day’s play, Bihar has scored 198 runs for five wickets in the second innings. Due to the lead in the first innings, Bihar has got a lead of 228 runs in the second innings.

Baroda’s team, starting the day at 75 runs, scored 182 runs thanks to Yug’s brilliant 90 runs. For Bihar, Abhishek took 7 wickets, Adarsh and Kumar Shan took one wicket each, and one player was run out.

In the second innings, Bihar’s Ganesh Chauhan scored 38 runs, Prince Kumar scored 29 runs, Dhananjay Kumar Singh scored 13 runs, Kumar Shan scored 9 runs and Irfan Alam 5 runs. At the end of the second day’s play, Adarsh Singha was unbeaten on 45 runs and Lalit was unbeaten on 48 runs. For Baroda, Harsh took two wickets and Kavir took one wicket, while two players had to be run out.
