Patna: Bihar were 210 for the loss of four wickets on the first day of Vijay Merchant Trophy match against Meghalaya at SGSA Cricket Ground in Vadodara on Thursday. With this, Bihar took a lead of 120 runs with six wickets in hands. Meghalaya were all out for 90 runs in their first innings.
Bihar won the toss and decided to field. Asked to bat first, Meghalaya batting crumbled against the bowling of Asif Ahmed and Adarsh Sinha and were bundled out for 90 runs in 51 overs. For Meghalaya, Justin Fanken scored 18 runs and Jarrett scored 16 runs.
Asif took five wickets for 11 runs in 14 overs and Adarsh took three wickets for 16 runs in 7 overs. In reply, Bihar scored 210 runs losing 4 wickets in 37 overs with the help of Agastya’s 90 and Ayush Anand’s 88 runs. Dhananjay Kumar Singh (9) and Anirudh Dey (1) were at the crease. For Meghalaya, Angit took two wickets, BJ Makdoh and JJ Thakuria took 1-1 wickets.
