Vijay Merchant Trophy:  Adarsh and Lalit’s half-centuries prop up Bihar

Patna: At the end of the second day of the ongoing match between Bihar and Chandigarh at MCA Stadium, Pune, Bihar were 195 runs behind Chandigarh by scoring 255 runs for five wickets in the first innings. Chandigarh declared their first innings after scoring 450 runs for seven wickets.

In the first innings, Ritwik, the unbeaten batsman of the first day for Chandigarh, scored 107 runs and Kuldeep Yadav remained unbeaten on 51 runs.

For Bihar, Ganesh Chauhan scored 7 runs, Kumar Shan scored 41 runs, Prince Kumar scored 21 runs, Dhananjay Kumar Singh scored 12 runs and Animesh Raj scored 32 runs. Captain Adarsh Sinha remained unbeaten on 78 runs and Laliteshwar Bhadauria was unbeaten on 58 runs. Chandigarh’s Gurpreet took 3 wickets and Ankan took 2 wickets.
