Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar takes holy dip at Triveni Sangam, calls it a ‘blessed experience’

Mahakumbh Nagar: Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam on Saturday, describing the experience as a “life-blessing moment.”

Accompanied by his wife and family, the Vice President arrived in Prayagraj by helicopter, where he was warmly welcomed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who honored him with an Angavastram at the helipad.

From there, the Vice President proceeded to Arail Sangam Ghat, where he boarded a cruise and enjoyed a boat ride before reaching the marked spot at the Triveni Sangam for the sacred bath.

Amidst the chanting of Swasti Vachan, he immersed himself in the holy waters, carrying a Shivling on his head as a symbol of devotion. The religious rituals were led by Vrindavan’s chief priest, Pundarik Goswami, who performed the traditional puja.

During his boat ride, the Vice President was thrilled to see Siberian birds at Triveni Sangam. He joyfully fed them by hand, sharing the special moment with his family. As they sailed, CM explained the spiritual significance of Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati rivers meet.

After witnessing the sacred confluence and taking a holy dip, the Vice President expressed his happiness, calling it a ‘blessed moment of his life’. Before bathing, he greeted devotees who had gathered at the ghats, and after the ritual.

Following this, the Vice President, along with his wife and family, visited Saraswati Koop, Akshay Vat, and Bade Hanuman Temple, where he performed traditional puja rituals. He offered roli, clothes, sacred thread, sindoor, red sandalwood, garlands, incense, and prasad to Lord Hanuman and circumambulated the temple. During the visit, CM Yogi Adityanath shared the spiritual significance of these sites with him.

The Vice President was deeply impressed by the grand and well-organized arrangements for Mahakumbh 2025, calling it an unparalleled spiritual gathering. He stated that he had never seen such a divine and meticulously planned event in his life, and felt blessed to be a part of it.

The visit was attended by CM Yogi Adityanath, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and senior officials from the Uttar Pradesh government.
