Patna: Vaibhavi Singh of Katihar beat her citymate Somya Bharti 24-22, 21-13 to win the U-17 girls singles title of Li-Ning Bihar State Junior (U-17/U-19) Ranking Badminton Tournament in Aurangabad on Monday.
Kartik of Patna captured the boys U-17 singles title defeating Saksham Vats of Patna 21-13, 21-17.
Raj Aryan of Nawada bagged the boys U-19 title defeating Parag Singh of Munger 21-8, 21-17.
In the girls U-19 final, Sanvie Anand of Bhagalpur beat Vaibhavi Singh of Katihar 21-14, 21-17 to annex the crown.
In the girls U-19 doubles final, Fiza Hasan and Sara Kausar (Kaimur and Patna) beat Sanvie Anand and Srija (Bhagalpur and Patna) 21-17, 21-18.
In the U-19 mixed doubles final, Raj Aryan and Fiza Hasan beat Rishav Raj and Sanvie Anand 19-21, 21-15, 21-14.
In the boys U-17 doubles final, Priyanshu Sinha and Ranveer Singh (Jehanabad and Patna) beat Kartik and Parag Singh (Patna and Munger) 21-19, 21-16.
In the boys U-19 doubles final. Raj Aryan and Amrit Raj (Nawada and Muzaffarpur) beat Roshan Kumar and Abu Zaid (Munger and Kathir) 21-15, 21-19.
Later, Bihar Badminton Association secretary KN Jaiswal and other guests gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up.
