Patna: Bhojpur beat Aurangabad by seven wickets, East Champaran beat Gopalganj by 6 runs and Samastipur beat Muzaffarpur by 178 runs on Friday in the Shyamal Sinha Under-16 Inter-District Cricket Tournament organized by the Bihar Cricket Association at different grounds of Bihar on Friday.
Aurangabad scored 81 runs in 21 overs at Jagjivan Stadium in Bhabua. Mohit Kumar took 6 wickets for 14 runs. In reply, Bhojpur achieved the target by losing three wickets with Anuj and Akshat engaging in an unbeaten 79-run partnership.
East Champaran scored 163 runs at Rajendra Stadium in Siwan. Rishabh scored 45 runs. Rinkle Tiwari took 4 wickets. In reply, Gopalganj were all out for 156 runs in 39 overs. Tushar and Manikant of East Champaran took three wickets each. Man of the match award was given to Tushar.
Samastipur scored 289 for nine in 40 overs with the help of Captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi double century (218 off 127 balls with 32 fours and eight sixes). In reply, Muzaffarpur scored 111 runs in 32.4 overs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the man of the match.
Jehanabad defeated Nalanda by 109 runs in a one-sided match. Batting first after winning the toss, Jehanabad scored 230 runs in 39 overs, Kumar Shan scored 68, Sunny made 34, Harshraj scored 34 and Abhinav scored 33 runs. Arunesh bagged 3 wickets and Sachin claimed 5 wickets for Nalanda. Chasing the target, Nalanda collapsed for 109 runs in 36 overs, Rajeev 17, Binit 15 and Arunesh scored 12 were the main contributors. Aman, Ayush and Kumar Shan took three wickets each for Jehanabad. Kumar Shan of Jehanabad was adjudged Man of the Match.
