Lucknow: Paying tributes to former governor and BJP veteran late Lalji Tandon on his third death anniversary, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Lalji Tandon’s journey was truly remarkable, starting from humble beginnings to reaching great heights wherein he had worked to carry forward the esteemed legacy of Atal Ji in Lucknow.
At Hazratganj, where the statue of Lalji Tandon has been installed, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, and other senior BJP leaders gathered to pay tribute to Tandon.
Emphasizing Lalji’s journey, the Chief Minister mentioned that he served as a general party worker, corporator, legislator, member of the Legislative Council, minister in the state government, MP, and governor in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. “Lalji showcased his experience and competence, benefiting the states and setting an example for others,” he said.
“He had a personal connection with Lucknow, and the people here still remember him dearly. His love, respect, and communication with people of all castes, religions, and beliefs were extraordinary. Today, he is no longer with us, but on his third death anniversary, I offer my heartfelt homage to his memory on behalf of the state government”, the Chief Minister added.
