Two Taekwondo players from Bihar leave for National Games with hopes of medal

Patna: Two Taekwondo players from Bihar, Shreya Rani from Begusarai and Vivek Prakash from Patna, have left for Goa to participate in the 37th National Games. Shreya Rani will represent Bihar in women’s under 62 kg weight, and Vivek Prakash of Patna will represent Bihar in men’s over 87 kg weight.

Taekwondo  will be organized at the Multipurpose Indoor Stadium in Ponda, Goa from October 31 to November 3, 2023.

It is noteworthy that Shreya Rani qualified to play in the National Games on the basis of winning the bronze medal in the 39th Senior National Competition held in Gauhati (Assam), and while Vivek Prakash qualified due to an excellent performance,

At the time of their departure from Patna, Bihar Taekwondo Association President Shashibala Badani congratulated the players and wished them to bring glory to Bihar by performing excellently.

Through the same video conferencing, Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Bihar State Sports Authority, Patna, Raveendran Shankaran, told the players to go with determination and make Bihar proud by ensuring medals.
