Trophies unveiled for Sardar Patel School Cricket Festival

Patna: The Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, celebrating its 25th anniversary, unveiled the trophies for the upcoming Sardar Patel School Cricket Festival, scheduled to begin on May 20. The unveiling ceremony took place at Casa Picolla Restaurant in Patna, with several distinguished guests in attendance.

The trophies for various age categories were jointly unveiled by Mritunjay Tiwari (President, Bihar Players Association), Indradeep Chandravanshi (Member, Patna Municipal Corporation Empowered Committee), Rajesh Sharma (Director, Casa Picolla Restaurant), Ashwani Sharma (Branding and Promotion Head, Greater Noida Institute of Technology), Sunil Kumar (Director, MyCareer View), Vijay Sharma (Director, Turning Point), Abhay Singh (Pran LifeLord), Sumit Sharma (Director, Sumit and Sharma Sports), and Naveen Kumar (General Secretary, Sardar Patel Sports Foundation).

Guests were warmly welcomed with traditional shawls by Rajesh Sharma, Director of Casa Picolla Restaurant.

The festival will feature cricket matches in the following age categories:

Under-12: Casa Picolla Cup

Under-13: Turning Point Cup

Under-14: Career View Cup

Under-15: GNIOT Cup

Speaking at the event, the guests praised the foundation’s consistent efforts to promote cricket at the grassroots level in Bihar. They said that the platform provides budding cricketers with the opportunity to display their skills and progress to district and state-level teams.

Reaffirming his support, Rajesh Sharma stated that Casa Picolla would continue to stand by the foundation. Abhay Singh of Pran LifeLord also announced that their company would provide refreshments like biscuits and juice to the young players.

Naveen Kumar, General Secretary of the foundation, informed that preparations for the festival are in full swing. The event will commence with the Under-12 matches at Krishna Cricket Ground, with other matches scheduled across multiple venues.

The tournament promises a range of prizes and recognitions. Apart from shining trophies for winning and runner-up teams, individual players will be awarded for their performances. Daily Man of the Match awards will be given, along with honours for the Best Batsman, Best Bowler, and Best Emerging Player of the tournament.
