Traffic Management Updates
Patna Traffic SP Aparajita Lohan announced the launch of a new logo for the Traffic Police and a revamped blue-and-white colour scheme for traffic check posts. Starting 26 January, 54 traffic check posts in Patna will be managed by women police officers from the Women Police Academy, who will also oversee urban traffic management.
To address congestion at Patna Junction, the department is collaborating with multiple agencies. Plans include reducing the width of the roundabout and penalising public transport vehicles that halt illegally. A meeting with bus drivers has already been conducted, emphasising adherence to designated bus stands.
The traffic department has urged the public to cooperate by boarding buses only from authorised bus stops to ensure smoother traffic flow and safety.
