Patna: The fifth day of the Men’s Senior One Day Trophy tournament, organised by the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), witnessed a series of exhilarating matches. Teams from Jehanabad, Gopalganj, Kaimur, Begusarai, Sitamarhi, Bhagalpur, and Nawada emerged victorious in the matches played on Thursday. Below are the details of the day’s fixtures:
1. Jehanabad vs Vaishali (Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna)
Result: Jehanabad won by 16 runs.
Jehanabad posted a total of 314 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. Suraj Satpal Rathore starred with 85 runs off 52 balls, including 7 fours and 4 sixes, while Jitin Kumar Yadav contributed 67 runs. In bowling, Saroj Satpal Rathore took 3 wickets for 38 runs.
Vaishali scored 298 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs. Aniket Rakesh Kumar top-scored with 64 runs, but their efforts fell short as Jehanabad secured the win.
2. Gopalganj vs Saran (J.P. Sinha Stadium, Vaishali)
Result: Gopalganj won by 76 runs.
Gopalganj were bowled out for 144 runs in 37.3 overs, with Sachin Kumari Singh scoring 43 runs. In response, Saran were dismissed for just 68 runs in 20.4 overs, thanks to a stellar bowling performance by Prashant Srivastava, who took 3 wickets for 15 runs.
3. Kaimur vs Buxar (Maharaja College Ground, Ara)
Result: Kaimur won by 95 runs.
Kaimur set a target of 247 runs, with Aditya Anand Singh scoring an unbeaten 46. Buxar were bowled out for 152 runs, as Aditya Anand Singh also shone with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 31 runs.
4. Khagaria vs Begusarai (HURL Cricket Ground, Bihta)
Result: Begusarai won by 3 wickets.
Khagaria scored 249 runs for 7 wickets, with Vishwas Vivekanand Priya contributing 72 runs. Begusarai chased down the target in 44 overs, thanks to a magnificent century by Prithvi Subhit Raj, who scored 152 runs off 102 balls.
5. Sitamarhi vs Darbhanga (Janaki Stadium, Sitamarhi)
Result: Sitamarhi won by 31 runs.

7. Nawada vs Sheikhpura (NCA Cricket Ground, Nalanda)
Result: Nawada won by 107 runs.
Nawada posted a mammoth total of 370 runs, with Deepak Mahesh Kumar scoring a brilliant 157 runs. Sheikhpura were bowled out for 263 runs, despite a century by Amarjeet Rai.
