Team Godavari wins Straight Drive Invitational Women’s Cricket title

Patna: Godavari thrashed Ganga by 8 wickets to win the first Straight Drive Invitational Women’s Cricket Tournament title at Urja Stadium on Tuesday.

Patna mayor Sita Sahu who was the chief guest at the closing function, gave away the trophies to the winning team. Deputy mayor of Patna Rashmi Kumari gave away the runner-up trophy to Team Ganga. Player of the final and player of the tournament awards went to Apoorva of Godavari.

Other awards: Best batter Nikki Kumari of Team Ganga; best bowler: Aparna of Team Godavari; best fielder: Apoorva of Team Godavari. These awards were given away by Patna mayor, deputy mayor, Farah Khan, director of Raza Group of Schools and Ruchi Arora Kumar, director of CAIT.

Kanhaiya Kumar Sinha, Devki Nandan Das, Prem Ballabh Sahay, Ashish Das, Ajay Kumar, Tarun Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Vishnu Shankar, Rosh Sinha, Prem Shankar, advocate Rajesh Kumar, Mahfuz Qamar, Nikhilesh Ranjan, Ajay Kumar of Captain Sports director Mayank Sharma, Nishant and Kishore of Nishu Enterprises were present. The stage was anchored by Suresh Kumar Mishra and Premnath Khanna proposed a vote of thanks.
