Patna: Sushil Kumar Modi Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament got off to a flying start on Saturday at the local Shakha Ground. BPCA and YCC Black won their respective matches on Saturday.
MLA Arun Kumar Sinha, former Ranji player Ashish Sinha inaugurated the tournament. Convenor Ranjit Kumar Singh and joint convenor Mahesh Yadav welcomed the guests. Joint convenor Rahul Kumar proposed a vote of thanks. Former Ranji players Ram Kumar and Rajesh Sinha were present on this occasion.
In the matches, BPCA defeated SKP by 120 runs and YCC Black defeated YCC Pink by 117 runs.
In the first match, BPCA won the toss and batting first scored 218 runs for the loss of four wickets in 25 overs. In reply, SKP were all out for 98 runs in 21.5 overs. Samarth Dev Singh of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
In the second match, YCC Black won the toss and batting first scored 218 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 25 overs. In reply, YCC Pink were all out for 101 runs in 21.2 overs. Ashish Kumar (57 runs) of the winning team was awarded the Player of the Match award.
