Patna: Super Kings and Fighter emerged victorious in their respective matches in the Asha Baba Champions Trophy Cricket Tournament at Krishna Cricket Stadium, Khemnichak. The tournament is being organised under the aegis of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation.
In the first match, Super Kings defeated Dabang by four wickets. Batting first after winning the toss, Dabang posted a total of 184 runs in 25 overs before being bowled out. Vaibhav Raj top-scored with 62 runs, while Anuj Kumar contributed 31. Rajiv (4/8) and Ishant (2/39) were the standout bowlers for Super Kings. In reply, Super Kings chased down the target in 24 overs, scoring 185 runs for the loss of six wickets. Priyanshu (53), Rajiv (48), and Alok (34) played crucial knocks. Rajiv was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
In the second match, Fighter secured a 38-run victory over Boomers. After opting to bat first, Fighter posted a competitive total of 218 runs for four wickets in 25 overs. Abhinav starred with the bat, scoring 74 runs, while Adarsh Raj contributed 69. For Boomers, Adarsh took 2/31, and Aniket picked up one wicket for 25 runs. Chasing 219, Boomers managed to score 180 runs for nine wickets in 24 overs. Aman (60) and Astitva (40) fought hard, but Adarsh Raj’s brilliant bowling performance (5/26) ensured Fighter’s victory. He was named Player of the Match for his all-round display.
