Patna: Sunaina Verma Memorial Women’s Cricket Tournament, organized by Putul Foundation, will be held here from March 8 to March 10. All the matches in this tournament will be played at Alpha Sports Academy. Two teams from Bihar and Jharkhand will be included in this tournament.
Bihar team will be formed through trials. For which a trial was organized at Alpha Sports Academy on March 3. No fee will be charged to the players. Girls from the entire state of Bihar can participate in this trial. Refreshments will also be given to the players. After the trials, a 15-member Bihar team will be announced.
Giving information about this tournament, Alpha Sports Academy Director Sumit Prakash said that 2 teams will participate in it. He stated that the organizing committee will make arrangements for the players’ lodging and food during the game. No money will be taken from any player during this period. A three-day camp will be organized for the selected players.
He said that the winning and runner-up teams will be given many attractive prizes, including shining trophy, Man of the Series, best batsman, best bowler, best fielder and best wicketkeeper. For age verification, the Aadhaar card and certificate issued by the municipal corporation will have to be brought along during the trial. There are also three turf wickets, one astro turf and one cemented wicket for practice in Alpha Sports Academy. Apart from this, a gym facility is also available for the players.
