Patna: On the first day of the three-day 4th State Closed Squash Championship organized by All Bihar State Squash Racket Association at Bankipur Club, in the senior men’s category match, Saransh Mishra defeated Aman Kant 11-1,11-4, Sujit Kumar defeated Anil Kumar by 11-3.
Madhav Kumar defeated Nikhil Kumar by 11-4,4-11,12-10,6-11,11-8. Shubham Kumar entered the next round by defeating Saurav Kumar Jha 11-7,11-4,11-1, while in the Under 17 boys category, Adarsh Agarwal defeated Shivam Kumar 11-8,11-4,11-6 and entered the next round by defeating.
In the women’s category match, Anuradha Kumari defeated Manvi Chaubey by 11-9,11-9,11-4, Anjali Rani defeated Ladu Kumari by 11-6,11-6,11-6 and Swarnim Chaturvedi defeated Venisha Singh by 11-6,11-6,11-6 11-1,11-3.
The competition was formally inaugurated by Dr Vipin Kumar Singh, Treasurer of Bankipur Club, Patna and Sanjay Agrawal. On this occasion, Sharad Ranjan, Anil Kumar Lal, Prabhakar Nandan, Nikhil Kumar, association members Baijnath Prasad, Vijay Shankar, Shyam Kumar Jha, Avinash Dubey, Tej Narayan Kumar were present. Dr Kaushal Kishore Singh welcomed the guests.
