Patna: Straight Drive Bihar PRO Invitation Men’s Volleyball Tournament 2024 was off to a flying start on Saturday evening at the Telegraph Recreation Centre, Patna.
The first match between Saran beat Begusarai 2-0 ( 25-8, 25-12 ).
In the second match, Samastipur beat Patna 2-0 ( 25-18, 25-23) in a closely fought contest.
The third game between Begusarai and Bhagalpur went in favour of Bhagalpur 2-0 ( 25-18, 25-23).
The tournament is bringing forward the talented players from six districts of Bihar, in a Round Robin League format, conducted over 4 days ( May 25 to May 28). The final will be held on the May 28 evening.
Secretary of Bihar Volleyball Association Ramashish Singh, Mohan Kumar Sinha, Ashok Talapatra, Prem Ballabh Sahay, Premnath Khanna, and Uttam Talapatra of Straight Drive jointly inaugurated the competition.
Earlier on May 24, Straight Drive held a Press and Media meet to announce this tournament, aiming to promote and facilitate the popular game of volleyball once again in Bihar.
