Stage set for Rekha Devi Memorial Patna District Junior Division Football League

Patna: Under the aegis of Patna Football Association, all preparations have been completed for the Rekha Devi Memorial Patna District Junior Division Football League starting from Monday (March 20).

Giving this information, president of Patna Football Association Ram Ishwar Prasad said that the tournament will be inaugurated by the chairman of Patna Football Association and Bihar industries minister Samir Kumar Mahaseth. The opening ceremony will take place at 12.30 pm. On this occasion, secretary of Bihar Football Association Syed Imtiaz Hussain, retired IAS Pradeep Kumar and president of Bihar Players Association Mrityunjay Tiwari will be present as special guests.

PFA secretary Manoj Kumar said that the inaugural match of this district football league sponsored by Gardanibagh Athletic Club will be played between PYFC vs Patna Academy. He said that Rekha Devi was the wife of Patna’s former mayor Shyam Babu Rai.

He said that a total of 24 teams are participating in this league which has been divided into 4 groups. Around five to six teams are participating in this league for the first time.
