Patna: The inaugural match of the CAB Challenger Trophy Under-15 Inter School Cricket Tournament, starting from Friday (March 31) at the Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) Ground located on the Moinul Haq Stadium premises, will be played between Star XI and SSR Cricket Academy. International cricket coach Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad will inaugurate the match.
Convener Mukesh Kumar said that the tournament matches will be played on knock out basis. 16 teams have been given entry. He said that the matches will be played of 25-25 overs.
The winning and runner-up teams of this tournament will be given individual prizes apart from the gleaming trophy. Along with this, man of the match award will be given every day.Many awards including player of the tournament, best batsman, best bowler and best fielder will be given. Budding players will also be rewarded.
To play in the match, the birth certificate for age verification, Aadhaar card must be brought by the player during each match.
